Built because someone had an idea.
Tanis ClockWorks started with a retirement gift. I wanted a quality watch for an employee, but the ones I liked cost hundreds, sometimes thousands, more than I could spend.Then I found microbrands: small makers with fresh designs and real character. And I found the build-your-own world. I thought, why not build one myself?So I did. I loved it.Sourcing the parts was half the fun. Assembly was painstaking, sometimes exhausting, and completely worth it. One build led to another, and Tanis ClockWorks was born.What I makeModified, homage, and one-of-a-kind watches. Not replicas. I take inspiration from designs I admire, then choose the case, crystal, movement, dial, hands, and strap to make something that’s mine.How it’s madeEvery watch is assembled by hand, then regulated with a Timegrapher before it leaves the studio. No two builds have to be the same.When you wear a Tanis ClockWorks watch, you’re wearing something that exists because someone had an idea and decided to build it.
